I first met Mike when he was working in the Swing Shop in South London in
the early 1960s. I'd gone in there with what I thought was a Chick Bullock
78 on Imperial that I'd just purchased, and he pointed out that it wasn't
him! Turned out to be Sid Gary[r]y.

At some point I got to understand that he didn't care that much for Charlie
Christian.
