[78-L] French Pathe numbers

The diamond with the catalogue number (numéro de couplage) seems to have been added in 1911, from what I can glean based on Hervé David's discographies:
http://www.hervedavid.fr/francais/phono/Disques%20Pathe%20Saphir.htm
In the paper-label years, the label types that I know of were used thusly:
1916 to 1925-26: "Disque Pathé" arched
1925-26 to 1929: straightforward design with a thick gold band
1929 to 1932: the "square in circle" design

While the paper-label years don't seem to be as chaotic as the centre-start era, the large number of numerical blocks can still make it rather hard to establish ranges for a particular label design. I was looking over some Mayol records that I had recently bought and noticed how close the catalogue numbers were in spite of seven years' difference in approximate recording dates. The reason, as it turned out, was very simple: both were in the 4401-4466 series, which was devoted exclusively to Mayol releases. It would *appear* that the previous series, which left off at 4400, recommenced at 4471 (it was 29cm and devoted to stars like Chevalier, Mistinguette, Nibor &cetera).

French Pathé (also Made in Belgium) used some release numbers several times.
For ex., in the 8000 series:

Type 1:
Etched labels, with the nrs at 8h. Sides differently numbered.
There is also a small mx.nr (the orig. cylinder nr?) at 6h, below the word Pathé.
This is the most common type of etched Pathés.
Examples 8520/8524 or 8529/8531.
For 8526/8527 see ebay 160984005074:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/rare-78-rpm-11-PATHE-SAPHIR-SAINT-SAENS-GODART-BEDETTI-cello-/160984005074?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item257b64f9d2&nma=true&si=2DRiT61EDS9qdh6qJleKLKPkxX4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Type 2:
Etched labels, with release nr in a diamond below hole.
Such records are 2-sided, with "original" nrs along rim at 8h (as in type 1).
For ex. 8619 contains 79669/70, with mxs 82954/55 (by J.M. Campbell, Scotch Comedian).
For 8902 (11'') see ebay # 160986536431:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/78-rpm-11-Pathe-etched-center-start-TRIO-CHERNIASKY-violin-cello-JEWISH-SONG-/160986536431?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item257b8b99ef&nma=true&si=2DRiT61EDS9qdh6qJleKLKPkxX4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Type 3 - paper labels.
Type 3A - Release nr at 12h:
No. 8569 = Lud Gluskin et son Jazz: Whiteman Stomp / Ramona (mxs 8707 / 8675).
Type 3B - The release nr shown twice, at left & right of hole (= at 9h & 3h):
No. 8671= JEFFRY'S JAZZ ORCH, Broadway Melody / Makin' Whoopee!.

For another (prob. later) version of a paper label see:
No. 6207 (with release nr at 3h):
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ultra-rare-78-rpm-11-PATHE-SAPHIR-6415-BERLIOZ-WEBER-EDOUARD-COLONNE-NM-/160981339412?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item257b3c4d14&nma=true&si=2DRiT61EDS9qdh6qJleKLKPkxX4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
but I have a scan of 6212 (Type 2 in diamond) with side nr 6367 (at 8h).

Is there a discographical practice to distinguish between these nrs/series ?
Can these label types be dated (get a date range?).
