[78-L] CD recorders

I bought a Teac CD-RW880 years ago and have not been too happy with it. When it records, it's great, but sometimes it stops for no apparent reason. It also misidentifies discs that are supposed to have material on it as being blank. The digital display is so dim that I have to shut out the lights in the room in order to see it, and even then it's hard to make anything out. I hate this machine, but couldn't find anything else that I liked. When I bought it, I wasn't searching on the Internet (probably 10 years ago), so there are probably better units around.
