This may have already been covered in replies, and, if so, my humble apologies (said in BBC WS Newsreader fashion).

Last Thursday was BBCWS' last day in Bush House. They have completed their move to Broadcasting House, and now run operations from there. Still, it is a bloody shame that (1) they have had to leave a historic building, (2) I'm unable to go to the auction to bid on the goodies, and (3) I don't have the funds to bid on anything anyway.

Subject: [78-L] BBC World Service Going Out Of Business Auction

What the hell is going on in England? It looks like the BBC World
Service is having a going out of business auction. If you are in
Britain you have got to look at this. This links to page 4 with some
Studers, Revoxes, Techniques turntables, mic pre amps, and more. But
there are 64 pages with over 1500 lots of these goodies. I have a
feeling that in a few years the BBC Archive is going to be rather upset
that some of these things are gone, especially as parts for Studers
become scarce.

If you keep going, in addition to dozens of turntables, microphones,
minidisc decks still in boxes, you will find framed maps, pictures of
Paul McCartney being interviewed by the Russian Service, an ariel view
of Bush House, and a photo of Cliff Richard (ptwooie) being interviewed.
The last item is a studio clock and lights.

Are they out of business??? I would have thought they woukld have
waited till AFTER the Olympics to close down their International
broadcasting service.
