[78-L] THE BEATLES 78 RPM UNIQUE PRESSING COLOMBIA 1965-66

I'm surprised by two things. First, I'm surprised that in 1965 the
Beatles had distributors who were distributing their products in
78 rpm formats anywhere, since the 45s and 33s were ubiquitous
here in the states.
 
And second, I'm also surprised that the Beatles had much of a
following in Colombia, or in any non-English speaking country
with the possible exception of Germany and maybe France.
Were there radio stations in South America that played British
rock music during that era?
 
It's all news to me.

Something about this doesn't ring right... if there WERE 78 Beatles pressings in Colombia, wouldn't we have heard about them already from the many Beatles collectors out there?

It is hard to tell from the pics but (a) it looks like a vinyl press, and (b) that label looks too shiny.

If it IS a real issue (not gonna cast aspersions on the dealer, but...), then it is one heck of a find, but wouldn't one like it or similar have already surfaced & be documented?
