Two or three years ago I dropped into a local (Oshawa, Ont'o., Canada) 
thrift
store. They had a few 78's...but with $12 price tags! I asked if that was 
the
actual price...the clerk on duty assured me that it was, saying "These are
VERY old and rare!" I didn't have the heart to tell the poor lady that I
already owned about 20,000 (then!) of the dommed things...?!

What was frustrating was that it happened to be an A-series
Columbia which I DIDN'T own...?!
