The Folkways albums/cd comprised a reissue of the 1934 Odeon/Parolophone set, not taken from the original cylinders. Here is a link to the Folkways booklet online:

As we have seen, 2 different Hornbostel collections were published. One was a genuine 12-record album on Odeon/Beka, resp. Parlophone, resp. Decca (US). This latter one was also reissued in 1951 as a 2-record set (with 10-page booklet) as a Decca Gold Label Series 33 1/3 rpm LP under the title: 'Music of the Orient. A Survey of the Principal Music of All High Oriental Cultures' (Decca DX-107)

The other collection was the early cylinder set of 120 cylinders, the so-called 'Demonstration Collection'. A description of this collection was published by the former head of the Berlin Phonogramm-Archiv, Prof.Dr. Artur Simon: 'Das Berliner Phonogramm-Archiv. Sammlungen der traditionellen Musik der Welt. / The Berlin Phonogramm-Archiv 1900-2000. Collections of Traditional Music of the World. VWB - Verlag f?r Wissenschaft und Bildung, Berlin, 2000

There were 42 selections from this 120 cylinder collection re-issued in 1963 on a double LP on Folkways FE 4157. The LP was later re-issued by Smithsonian Folkways as LP FW 04157 and is now available on CD as FW 04157-CCD.
