Its orchestra was used by Western Electric for WEAF broadcasts and early
experiments in electrical recording (1922-25) and stereo recording
(1927-29). A recent discovery are excerpts of the Capitol Theater
performance of Sweethearts June 29, 1924, a few days after the death of
Romberg, and excerpts from Roxy's Gang that same night from his studio
in the theater.
And wasn't Dr. Eugene Ormandy the conductor there in the later 20s?
