Not entirely true; BB also issued "pop" material in its B11xxx series.

There is a fairly complicated set of numeric sequences used on Canadian BB;
this is further
complicated by the fact the different groups of numbers were used for
Francophone or
Anglophone issues. Sadly, I havr hopelessly buried my copy of my DG; the
data was
taken from a large group of BB(C) supplements covering 1942-49. B47xx was an
Anglophone group. And, as noted, these series were replaced by the 55-32xx
(Anglo)
series.
