ODP lists BB B-9042 as last US BB (Jazz Gillum, 30 Jul 42). At the time BB issued race & country only.
Wilf Carter's B-8983 was recorded 16 Dec 41, and thus released 1942, which agrees with the
release guide in Barr (B-8950 1/42).
Another US BB from this Carter session is B-9032.
Other Carter titles did not appear in the B-8000/9000 series, but were issued in the succeeding
33-0500 series (Barr gives 11/42 as first release date) or in the Canadion 55-3200 series.

Carter's 16 December 1941 titles appeared on:
B-4734/35/38/40 and 55-3201/02/09 (13 titles together) and some were issued in the US on
B-8983 & 9032 and on 33-0505 and later issues.
I would guess that the Canadian B-4700 series was replaced mid or late 1942 by the 55-3200 series.

Why La Riviere's records (B-4685/86) aren't in the July 1942 supplement is not clear.
Forgotten? Did they find some remaining stock or did they repress a few in 1943?
Considering the number of Canadian issues, it seems they released ca. 2 records in a month.

The last B-4700s known to me is:
B-4742 Hank (Snow), Lonesome Blue Yodel. Like B-4741 a repressing of his first record.
Is this the last release in the series?

>>> The earlier date makes sense.
Canadian Bluebirds B 4679 and 4681 are Mart Kenney discs recorded May 27/40 and 4683 dates from october 1/40.
4689 and 4690 are also Kenney, recorded March 6/41.
La Riviere's records aren't in the July 1942 supplement so they might not have been released till between then and mid 1943 when the next Bluebird catalogue appeared.

> My Russell discography hasn't been unpacked yet so I don't know if that's a Montreal or New York recording.
