There is some decent N. Orleans Revival recorded by The Bunk
Johnson-Sidney Bechet group on Blue Note in 1943 (NYC)(6 titles)
Also a fantastic session (one of the few)by Bunk Johnson and His New
Orleans Band Dec 5, 1945 for Victor in NYC.
And then of course the Sidney Bechet and His Bootwarmers Broadcasts from The
Savoy Cafe in Boston. in March, April, May and June of 1945.
Bunk Johnson in that band as was Pops Foster. Nine hours in all. Very
special. Available from me for trading.
