Bernie Brightman of Stash Records fame and Teddy Reig grew up on the same block in Brooklyn and attended the same schools. I learned this from Brightman himself when I met him some years ago at a Jazz Record Bash in New Jersey. This is the same bash that was started by Ken Crawford, who was succeeded by Russ Shor of VJM. Art Zimmerman now runs it.
