I'm still trying to solve some aspects of the VT 7000 series.
Label images of VT 7006-V show:
COMIC MONOLOGUE:
Uncle Josh Keeps House (Stewart) (78507) / Uncle Josh In A Barber Shop (Stewart) (78508).
Adjacent Columbia mxs are:
A-2802 PRINCE'S ORCHESTRA DOWN BY THE MEADOW BROOK 78505=1 - - 06/??/19
A-2773 HAPPY SIX KARAVAN 78509=1 - - 6/19/19
Searching ODP, it appears that 78507/08 were issued much later on Co A-3701, released ca. Sep/Oct 1922.
The mxs can also be found in the google books version of the Columbia Master Book,
which gives the date for mxs 78502-508 as 18 Jun 1919.
[I get only fragments of a page on the screen, which makes google books very difficult to read].
It will not be easy for Ty, but these books can give most recording dates.
Now a question about the Co Master Books:
Do they list only the orig. issue after the matrix ? At least VT 7006 is not listed as eq. of A-3701.
Do they only list a Harmony issue for the later Harmony mxs (like Dixie Stompers mx 143333, 20 Jan 27),
or do they also mention the VT/Diva issues?
Referring to the recent remarks about Rust's (incorrect) statement that Har 1-H = VT 1001-V,
it can be noted that Rust's JR-6 lists Har 4-H & Har 70-H under Henderson (1925) without VT issue
(here confirming that VT did not yet exist).

>>> Actually, the reason ODP starts at 7028 is merely because I am missing
information from all earlier numbers (in 7000 sereis, that is). I just got
#7003, so I'll include that in next month's update.
It seems to have started as a "standard" series (old time music, hymns, old
comedy routines, etc), and then a mixture of country and "race" material.
Perhaps it was Columbia's 14000 and 15000 series combined, but on a budget?
