Cheer up;good things come to those who wait.I once had a Victor 78 of "Remember" by
trumpeter-bandleader Erskine Hawkins. The flip side was "Tippin' In" a huge hit.The first
copy I had was broken some time in 1969 or '70.I found another copy it a few years ago
in a Myrtle Creek,Oregon Goodwill thrift store. When I was in high school in North Bend,
Oregon,I wanted to be a high note trumpeter like Hawkins or Bunny Berigan. It never really
happened.I was around 18 at the time(in 1969 or '70)and I was the only teenager who lis-
tened to the big bands then.I'm still at it,however I have to go in for open heart surgery in
the near future. My trumpet and trombone(along with my alto and tenor sax are in their
cases)are sidelined for the time being.

In the late 1960's I had a record called 'On Mobile Bay'.  Another collector pressured me out of it and I've never found another copy.  I think it was an a maroon electric 'Harmony'.  Can't recall the band, the catalog number, or the B-side.  Does anyone have a copy of this record and/or does anyone have a copy to sell?  Thanks!
