Aside from the (in)famous Caruso rerecordings, some George Gershwin sides were
dubbed for the memorial "Gershwin: King of Rhythm" side, and Carroll Gibbons
leads an orchestra alongside George's "Half of it Dearie Blues" with perfect
synchronization.

There was also Ray Noble's "Lady of Spain" reissued on American Victor, with a
trio joining Al Bowlly after the fact. No idea why they did that.

One of the tracks I had never heard before: "In a Little Spanish Town," which features an a cappella version of the song, sung by The City Service Quartet in 1927, which was then overdubbed in 1976 with an alto sax obbligato by Yusef Lateef. The effect really turned out nicely and it made me wonder if other after-the-fact overdubs have been done in this fashion. I'm not talking about the mock duets, like Natalie and Nat Cole's "Unforgettable" (which I didn't care for), but adding something that really complemented an original recording in a tasteful way.
