Funny you use Perry's Hot Dogs as your subject line as about the time you wrote this I was discovering my first Perry's Hot Dogs side on Regal that was in a pile of records I bought recently - "Steppin' Fool."

I recall one track of Como's in particular which used to be played often on
the local "Good Old Days" radio  station...a really nice version from the
mid-50s of Perry singing "Let A Smile Be Your Umbrella" accomp as I recall
by a rhythm section and four trombones...damn it was good,  and I usually
cringe at that song,  esp. the versions from the 20s.  But Perry knocked it
off in the relaxed style and sounded really good with the easy and jazzy
band behind him.
