[78-L] OTish Jazz 625

BBC4 TV has started repeating their 1960s series "Jazz 625". I watched 
the Dave Brubeck set and, frankly, it was disappointing. The sound had 
wow and the quartet was going through the motions--no fireworks like 
"Jazz At Oberlin" or "Jazz Goes To College". Each number was introduced 
by Steve Race in a rather unctuous manner, almost to the point of 
spoon-feeding the audience on how to appreciate the music. When the best 
moment is a Joe Morello drum solo, it is not a good sign!
