I can't directly answer the question about where Frances Williams' recording 
of
"A Sunny Disposish" comes from--I don't have the CED handy--but I did 
transcribe which
labels she recorded for at which points, and others can probably fill in the 
details.

Victor: 1925 and 1928 (tests)
Brunswick: 1928-29
Columbia: 1933 (rejected, issued on LP)
Marconi: 1937

I honestly don't know what that last item is; I've never seen a Marconi 
label mentioned
in the various label guides.

Frances Williams is, I believe, the blonde singer belting out the title song 
in "Hollywood Party" (1934). She was quite active on Broadway from the 20s 
through early 40s, but her
film work was mostly limited to short subjects and guest appearances.
