I was just dubbing a couple of Eddie Miller's Capitol records last night, great stuff. Answers.com sez Miller died Apr 01, 1991 in Van Nuys, California.

This is good news, and I totally agree with Julian that Russin is seriously under-rated. I just got a nice upgrade of the Babe Russin Variety of Roses in December on which he does some nice stuff. And his little passage on the Dorsey/Sinatra of Polka Dots and Moonbeams is so nice...

Speaking of tenor players, I have not noted anything about Eddie Miller
having passed away. He would be 98 now. Anybody know the facts?

BTW Babe's brother Jack was one Hell of a piano player...check out his
punchy solo on the Nichols Br of Waitin' For the Evening Mail (where Babe
follows him, also in fine form).
