No no no no no no! Beginning in 1902, when the Victor Talking Machine Company 
switched from the wax cylinder sold by Edison and Columbia, records were made 
of GLASS AND LACQUER! It says so, twice, on the first page of a recent book 
titled "Dirty Little Secrets of the Record Business" by one Hank Bordowitz.
