The turntable Columbia used for their reissues in that era -- the late
60s and early 70s -- was a standard idler wheel 16-inch Gates broadcast
turntable that had no variable speed with the exception of a slight
change that could be made of the pressure on the idler wheel that could
bring the table back on speed from a slight variance.
