The turntable Columbia used for their reissues in that era -- the late
60s and early 70s -- was a standard idler wheel 16-inch Gates broadcast
turntable that had no variable speed with the exception of a slight
change that could be made of the pressure on the idler wheel that could
bring the table back on speed from a slight variance.

Mike, I have two of these in my basement, from a defunk AM radio station in
WV. I'd like to sell them (they're mounted on wooden boxes), but have no
idea what they might sell for. Do you have any feel for this?

BTW, did you get to the OTR conference in Newark (?) several years ago when
David Freedman told of his father's writing humor for Eddie Cantor? He
passed away earlier this year. I had him for Hebrew in Seminary!
