That's pretty neat. I'm sure they'd recognize Jingle Bells, and maybe 3
Blind Mice from a 3 Stooges association.

Dennis the Menace (in one of the comic books) once said "I like Spikey Jones
music." Spike's "Old MacDonald" is fabulous..I'm sure it's been mentioned.
Now then, the other night I was working on a batch of tracks by The Goldman
Band, and "Children's March" came up (mid 30s recording for Associated
Transcriptions). I wondered if any kids today would recognize ANY of the
tunes in this arrangement?
p.s. Goldman Band transcription tracks now available from me.

When I was a small children I had the usual Golden records and other
kiddie labels that kids enjoyed. I was, of course, a kid! But I also had
Spike Jones and Stan Freberg records as well. Why haven't they been
considered here? Too adult?? Yeah, but... Spike fell back on kid's
material toward the end of his recording career at RCA Victor.
his "regular" material should not be ruled out. Nothing better than
whiz-bangs and crazed tenor banjo players to make a kid smile. Freberg
appealed to kids of all ages, and still does. His teevee ads were sheer
encapsulated genius, as well. If kids can dig the droll puns in Rocky &
  Bullwinkle they'll love Freberg.
