Ever recognize a sound effects or music library record on a tv show?
Just tonight as I was changing channels I heard the start of an episode
of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and there was Take Me Out To The
Ball Game, from a Standard Sound Effects 78.

When I was actively collecting, I always enjoyed finding sound
effects records...the stranger the better...there is a green label
Gennet of a flock of sheep making the usual baa-baa sheep noises...at
one point you can hear (faintly) a human voice who I think is trying to
encourage the sheep to be more vocal.
Not exactly Bix playing Singin' the Blues, but still entertaining!

Hi Taylor, Hi Dave.
Nice to hear from you both. That means there are at least 3 of us
still on 78L!
I'm going to try the flip side with an LP stylus. At the weights we're
using nowadays it shouldn't be a problem.
Label sez that tracking should be no more than 2 ounces. That made
sense in 1952, but not for an LP.
I think I will be able to stay under that.
