Lots of great entries to this list - really loved the German stuff - wish I
understood any of it.
Here's one easily overlooked.

"Choo-Choo Train" written by Irene Beasley, "singing with orchestra" which
included a very young Benny Goodman. Victor 21467 May 3, 1928

Subject: [78-L] Train rhythm tunes

I know we used to make lists of songs based on themes. I would like to start
a new one. This would be on tunes with a locomotive or train-type rhythm.
Earlier ones had steam, later ones had diesel. We can include track noise
and whistles. Two immediately come to mind, one being just recently
discussed. If possible, we can include links to early recordings. Let me
begin with

Snow (1954, Irving Berlin)

Chattanooga Choo-Choo (1941, Mack Gordon)

Beyond the Blue Horizon (1930, Robin, Whiting, Harling)
