[78-L] digital dilemma

[Rodger Holtin 78-L]

Apparently there's a way to adjust mic inputs to line level inputs via adjustments to the computer sound card.  A friend did that with an Asus laptop running Windows 8.1.  Not sure how universally that can be applied but there it is for wha it's worth.
