Hi All,
In my home town Brisbane we had an opera disc collector in the early 1900s
named Mr Ogg. He was a son of the Reverend Ogg who conducted the wedding
ceremony of the soprano Nellie Melba in 1882. Most of his collection was
alas dispersed long ago. It included quite unusual and rare items such as
Susan Strong's 1907 recording of the Beethoven song "The Brain Spinning
Swains"
