[78-L] Jass before Jazz

Hello,

We know that the first Victor of the Original Dixieland Jazz Band originally had labels with the spelling as Jass Band

I’m interested in knowing if there is documentation that also describes the alternate takes of the Columbia which reads: Original Dixieland Jass Band.

Does this mean that the higher takes were issued first?
