June 6 1916: the day The Dixie Jass Band gave its first concert. The 
band was a spin-off from Stein's Jass Band and soon changed its name to 
The Original Dixieland Jass Band/ Jasz Band/ Jazz Band.
I've been trying to find details about when the name change from Dixie 
Jass Band took place but there's nothing on the net. Does anyone know?
