But browsing through a cabinet of 78s which is from the CBC collection, I encountered a set called, "King Wenceslas - A Xmas play", a set of 2 HMV 12 inch 78s with Ann Stephens as an actress and singer and a cast of players. It appears never to have been played since the surface is clean and whisper quiet and there are no marks on the label indicating searching for the spindle. It's a delightful performance with actors, narrator, Symphony Orchestra and Conductor Charles Williams. I don't know if it's particularly rare but it's new to me.

Anything done by this girl was first rate. Her singing was beyond
comparison, not just cutesy, but truly a good singer, abilities well
beyond her age. It would be nice to be able to hear this. I saw some for
sale at
http://www.alpha-records.co.uk/
in poor condition, suggesting they were rare to start with and were
quite used up.
Nice find!

Later...
I found it!
