[78-L] Columbia LP "5" prefix ???

I don't know if the 5 was added to albums they wanted to sell for more (although they had the K for that purpose) or just to keep them from looking like old releases after 1955. Seems to me the 1951 Prades Festival albums have ML 5xxxx numbers on grey label 6-eye pressings.
