[78-L] Summertime

Carroll Gibbons & His Savoy Hotel Orpheans recorded a two-sided medley 
of Porgy & Bess, including "Summertime" on Columbia DX-824 (January 10, 
1938). Vocals by Anne Ziegler. Webster Booth is the other vocalist om 
the disc; these two were knows as "The Sweethearts in Song" in the UK at 
the time. This one is listed in "British Dance Bands On Record".
(While at it Gibbons recorded "Summertime" with Robeson on HMV B-8698 in 
London four days later.)
