If you have up the Google page of images, click the image, then go to
the page. This gets you to the real image, not Google's reference to the
image. You should then be able to create a sensible link to the image,
or save it and then send it.
Looking at what Google displays for the image URLs, I'd say that their
nerds have concocted some new search/reference algorithm that makes the
bits and bytes happy but gives us garbage from the screen utilities.
Always remember - there is nothing more dangerous than a clever
programmer....
