Lawrence Tibbett was well known in 1930, but the Mr. Tibbits reference seems to
date from 1934. And NOBODY would have used the word "kibitz" before the 50s
outside of groups of professional entertainers. (Stanley Tibbets is a character
in "Foul Play".)
