[78-L] Record Noises - Identify and Understand Cause

My experience is that blasting usually looks like jaggedness added to the waveform. I use the smoothing tool in Sound Forge to reduce it. It can be very tedious, though, since Sound Forge doesn't have any way of automatically applying the tool to those areas where blasting has occurred. You have to do this by hand, which involves a lot of close listening and manual selecting.
