[78-L] Christian question

Overall, guitarists who got famous did so in their twenties more than at any other time of life: Nick Lucas, Eddie Lang, Roy Smeck, Robert Hicks, Bennie Nawahi, Scrapper Blackwell, Django, Broonzy, and on and on to Arthur Smith, Guitar Slim, etc.
Eddie Lang is arguably the most important of all in jazz because he popularized the notion that a guitarist could solo like a horn player in jazz rather than play in a Dixielandish support role like Bud Scott. (I say "in jazz" because Blind Blake developed a virtuoso style independently of Lang, for instance.)
