I don't know about that.I've seen South American Victors on ebay from the late '30s-early '40s that were on ebay that used the 1926-37 "scroll" pattern.I believe they were of Bob Zurke and his Delta Rhythm Band from 1939-40(Argentinian origin).

I'm thinking that the RCA label might
 have appeared slightly before January
1946, although I've read the same information about the
 change. My copy of the
Toscanini set of Rossini Overtures on a red vinyl pressing
 (possibly the
special edition with "Allis Chalmers" somewhere on the
 cover) had, I'm pretty
sure, had a reference to Christmas 1945 inscribed in it. I
 may be mis-remembering.

And again, Canada was a year behind in changing over to
 RCA.

in January 1946, Musical Smart Set P-134 "Bunny Berigan
Memorial Album" was issued in 1942 (it's mentioned in the
Victor Record Review, June 1942), and early copies carry
Victor labels. (All are Swing Classic, as far as I know.)
There are a lot of copies of this album pressed after the
 1946 name change.

series (Set P-134 consists of 20-1500/3] actually began
slightly *before* the end of the 279xx five-digit series
 (27975 was the last).
