Actually "Bix" is pronounced "Cholmondeley."  VERY few people know that .

what is the correct pronunciation of "Beiderbecke" ? one biography suggested it is like "wider cheek," but that seems odd. 


is that name German? don't the Germans pronounce the "e" on the end like "eh" ?
