I lived in Denver & for a number of years had to store mine in an unheated garage.? Temps
fell below 0F a few times, but? I never noticed any deterioration. FWIW.

Like dl, I've stored records and tapes in an unheated garage for almost 20 years with no apparent ill effects. Granted, two walls of this garage abut the house so there may be some heat coming from that. Starting last winter I am storing 10s of thousands of records in two unheated storage units which don't abut any warm areas so I certainly hope there's no ill effects. I make it a practice not to bring any records in from the cold during the winter and I have one heated storage unit so if records need to be stored in the winter, I'll take them there first and move them to the outdoor units when it warms up. I didn't hold much hope for the tapes but I took some in to play them recently and they played very well.
I imagine that no matter how cold it gets in Denver, it probably doesn't compare with the winter cold of Plovdiv. (I must admit that I have no idea where Plovdiv is but it just sounds like a cold place.)
