[78-L] 8 1/3 rpm?? (Clifford Bolling)

Playing it at 33 &1/3rd rpm on a good turntable then reducing speed in Audacity or whatever program you used was a very good idea. the loner machines are low quality with rumble in the speaker if you turn the sound up.That is my experience with it.

This was to be played on a loaner machine from the Institute for the Blind. Both sides are identical except for the playback speed. There are several 2-5 minute excerpts from different books and articles narrated by different people. He said he started narrating talking books in 1937 and has been doing it for 30 years, so this one (I conclude) must be from 1967 or so. The side I recorded has about 1 1/4 inch of groove and provides almost 44 minutes of playback at 8 1/3 rpm.
