[78-L] BBC Radio Goon Shows

All of the BBC Goon Show re-issues contain the Geldray and Ellington musical items although, most frustratingly, they are not identified on the last dozen or so collections.  I have looked in vain for a listing of them on the various Goon Show WEB sites with no success.

However, the few shows that were licensed and re-issued by EMI (originally on LP and still available on CD) had not only the Geldray and Ellington items edited but also most of the incidental music (performed by Wally Stott and his Orchestra - the BBC Big Band had nothing whatsoever to do with the Goon Show - it didn't even exist when they were recorded.)
