A friend of mine who did some research for a project on early color television a few years back told me that Universal told him that syndication prints of this episode were black and white, even though it was filmed in color for the network airing. George Burns and Gracie Allen similarly did a color episode on CBS that was later syndicated in black and white.

Good old scratchy black and white, no sonic restoration (which is sometimes a 
good thing), some even have the later "Badge 714" titles. You oughta try it, Joe.
