In the blurb in Radio Times, written by Scott Bryan for a programme 
about Mahalia Jackson (presented by Cerys Matthews), it says that she 
never sang secular music.

Well, I can think of a couple of examples that she recorded: "White 
Christmas" and "Summertime", both written by nice Jewish boys! No doubt, 
there are other examples.

The programme airs on BBC4 on Tuesday at 11.30BST.
