There were articulated lateral-play attachments made for
Diamond Disc machines (my uncle had one that had belonged
to his parents) but they're pretty kludgey and typically
don't track very well. They were fine "back in the day"
if the DD machine was your only record player, but not
as good as a Victrola or other brand of -ola.
