1st week. Defining goals. I had a science teacher in
high school that had a favorite saying “Don’t start
vast projects with half vast plans”. Decide what you
want before starting out.

Do you want tunes for your boom box, or PU truck,
Etc. without restoration. If this is the case you can
go a much cheaper and easer  route.

How much money can you spend on equipment?
Some of us are on SSI, or are attending school so
we have a limited amount to spend.

Do you want CD quality, or better than CD quality.

Some people like the pops and crackle in old
records. I once bought a CD of a boogie woogie
song by one of my favorite artists. She introduced
pops and crackles in the songs. Because it was
introduced by software I could not remove it. It was
the last CD of her’s I bought.

Some people like to play their records on crank
up phonographs. I have seen an item for sale on
Yahoo Auctions Japan, that allows you to play
an output from your amp into a crank phonograph.
It is a little box you connect up to your amp, put
it on the turntable, not moving of curse, and place the
needle on it.
