How about Pizza boxes?  You could probably strap a couple together with
discs on the inside mating surfaces and padding on the outer ends.

Hi friends...

My husband has now moved out, his divorcing me is in its' final stages. I
find myself needing to pack records to move down back home to Los Angeles
once again, but I need a bit of help...

Can anyone send me a box that is suitable to pack 16" transcriptions? I only
need one box,  and maybe 6 or 8 suitably sized cardboard squares for
packing...and I would be happy to pay for it, if you can send me an empty
one. I can paypal you or whatever. I just need to pack 4 or 5
transcriptions.
