Sad news indeed. I remember him fondly from the days in the previous millenium when I
had regular access to Punch....

And the Toronto Star reported the story, but used a file photo of another Ron
Searle, former mayor of the city of Mississauga, who is alive and well at 92
and is a bit surprised (but he knew who the cartoonist was..those of you in
Southern Ontario will be gratified that there are SOME politicos who know
literary figures when they see them).
