All of the 5 or 6 WOR 78s I have had were pressed from very noisy shellac. Gloss or no gloss, it didn't matter.

WOR was and is a radio station in New York and apparently recorded songs in their studio and made their own records. There's a lot of info about the radio station, but there doesn't seem to be much info about these records. Any way to find out how many were released on the WOR label? Whether any of their recordings were released on major record labels? Time frame for their label?
