Dennis -- you might have noticed from Bruce's reply that this is not a
wax cylinder. It is celluloid. It is too bad the Youtuber seems not to
have heard of a tripod. As for the indistinct sound, the guy used the
mic on the shaky camera that was not close enough to the horn on the
Amberola to get a good recording, let alone use an electrical player to
get a proper sounding reproduction. The words might be reprinted on the
record slip which might have been reproduced in one of Ron Dethlefson's
books, check in there.

Edison must have brought old time yodeler George Watson, who recorded
many early brown wax and black wax two minute cylinder records, back for
one last "Blue Amberol" celluloid record in the 19teens for this one. A
Christmas comedy record with Yodeling ! how unique. Unfortunately, maybe
it's just me, but the quality of the recording and the reproducer make
it extremely difficult to understand the words. It would have helped if
the individual who posted this video on youtube, had initialized the
annotations youtube option and posted the words to the song on the
screen as Watson is singing.

Few views, but a nice treat for holiday music fans, wax cylinder
collectors, and of course, 78-l'ers.
