Split a Bing Crosby record in half BLUE OF THE NIGHT was owned by Decca but it's flip--CBS
Brunswick through the end of 1931 went to Decca in the early 40s. CBS retained
runswick masters made from 1932 through 1940

Brunswick through the end of 1931 went to Decca in the early 40s. CBS retained
runswick masters made from 1932 through 1940. The label was revived by Decca
or reissues in the 40s, then made a division of Coral (at least as far as
anada was concerned, with the odd result that Musicana had Coral and Brunswick
or a couple of years), used for jazz and some comedy (Al Jazzbo Collins) and
hen rock 'n' roll and R&B (The Crickets, Jackie Wilson) in the 50s, and
omehow given away entirely to Nat Tarnopol in 1969. Lookee here..

Imperial, Liberty and my brain hurts
ow does London belong to WEA if it's always been part of English Decca?

So what do we have now -- Three major record companies -- Sony/ BMG, WEA,
and UMG/ EMI. Odd bit in there is that is the London label now owned by WEA?
